Beyond regulatory compliance
The SOL Group has adopted an integrated approach to managing Quality, Health & Safety and the Environment, ensuring that all its activities are covered while eliminating unnecessary duplication and maximising synergies.
Through the implementation of this Management System, the Group aims to:
• improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of its business processes, thereby continuously reducing their impact on employee health, workplace safety and the wider environment;
• manage the risks associated with its business processes by implementing the procedures needed to identify and prevent, at an early stage, situations that could have serious and undesirable consequences for the Group’s activities.
The Integrated Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management System provides a common standard for all Group companies and also extends to contractors and collaborators.
The system is continuously monitored to identify potential weaknesses and implement the necessary improvements.
The Policies underpinning the Management System are signed by the Group Chairman and General Managers. They set out the principles that guide the activities of Group companies and define the objectives that management aims to achieve across the various areas. More recently, the SOL Group introduced a new corporate governance tool: Directives. These corporate-level documents are mandatory for all Group companies and must be formally adopted by each of them.
